Cast: Takuya Kimura as Tsukumo Ryusuke The newly arrived neuroscientist at the National Research Institute of Police Science. He met with an accident and injured a part of his brain. As if in compensation for that, his right brain is astoundingly well developed. He begins neuroscience research in his quest to learn about this abnormal change that has happened to him but his exceptional ability catches the attention of the National Research Institute of Police Science and he is recruited. Although he is an eccentric who cannot read situations around him, he solves difficult cases one after another with his peculiarly unique perspectives and ideas.
Ayase Haruka as Yuri Kazune Tsukumo’s only assistant. She majored in chemistry in university and was employed by the National Research Institute of Police Science after her graduation. She was originally assigned to the chemistry department’s research laboratory but enters the world of neuroscience because of Tsukumo’s appointment. She falls in love with his outward appearance when she first sees him and feels a little bewildered to be treated as the subject for his experiments every day … Even though she gets pushed around by the eccentric Tsukumo, she is gradually finds herself attracted to him while on the move around the crime scenes.
Mizushima Hiro as Hayashida Toranosuke A young detective in the First Investigative Division and Tanbara’s subordinate. He has a strong sense of justice and is full of energy because he gets to be involved in big cases in his admired division. He is naive and sentimental, and far from dependable … He respects the experienced Tanbara but also grows to have respect for Tsukumo, who solves cases from the perspective of neuroscience. Each time a case happens, he seeks Tsukumo’s advice and is scolded by Tanbara.
Synopsis: Tsukumo Ryusuke (Kimura Takuya) a neuroscientist who is in charge of the scientific method of identification, investigation and research of crime solving at the National Police Agency’s Science Institute. He solves difficult cases as well as major cases with his exceptional ability. He is quite different from people who can read situations and gets on the wrong side of those around him but his attitude when he gets thoroughly fixated in the pursuit of something that interests him, will certainly drive criminals into a corner …
